Hayling Island Kitesurfing Association Membership

This fantastic location is a privately owned beach. Kitesurfing is permitted under the control of the HKA and membership is mandatory.

 HKA membership is annual and as we are affiliated to the BKSA we only accept BKSA insurance.  Therefore you must also be a member of the BKSA to join us.  Read our Membership FAQs for more information.

The fee for joining the HKA is £25.00 for 12 months or any part thereof. When joining or renewing,your HKA and BKSA expiry date will be set to 31st March and the fee will remain £25.00 regardless of whether this is 12 months or less.

 

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

• To renew you need to know your HKA number and your email registered with us.  Use the CHECK button below to request these if you have forgotten them.  You also need your BKSA number and start date.
• If you change your email address, do not forget to update your HKA profile with your new email address.  We send membership, safety and club updates by email, only to the email in your profile.
• Membership of HKA runs annually from 1st April to 31 March for all members.  Regardless of when you join, your membership will end on 31st March.
• Continuous membership is mandatory - i.e.  on 31st March when your membership expires, you must renew within 3 weeks otherwise you will need to go back onto the waiting list.
• You must have BKSA insurance to join the HKA.  Your BKSA insurance must cover the HKA membership period.  You will not be permitted to join or renew if your BKSA insurance started before 1st April.  You must get new BKSA insurance.
• Do not contact us (HKA) for any issues you may experience with BKSA membership, insurance or your BKSA number.
• When renewing or joining read the screens carefully.  If it asks you to confirm your BKSA start date do not enter your BKSA expiry date.
• When choosing your payment option we offer credit/debit card (via Google Checkout) or a bank payment using BACS.
• If choosing Google Checkout - if you terminate the payment before completion you will lock out your HKA account.  You should contact us if you have managed to do this.  Tip:  complete the payment and save everyone this hassle!
• If choosing BACS Transfer - you will be emailed the payment instructions.  Read them!  Use the correct payment reference otherwise we will not be able to track your payment - do not make up your own payment reference.  All applications will be cancelled if the payment is not received promptly or we cannot match your payment (no refunds).
