HKA

Information

There is lots of information here but whether you are a new member or just unfamiliar with the location please ask someone on the beach.

Background

If you are new to kitesurfing or this particular location please read the background information here.  It explains why the club exists and why you MUST be a member to kitesurf at Hayling.

Site of Special Scientific Interest

West beach is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).  Please do not fly kites on the top of the shingle bank and avoid kitesurfing from 1 hour either side of high water, when there is little beach left.

Club Rules & Rights of Way

Beware, it gets busy!  So whether a seasoned, regular or a new member, please familiarise yourself with the club rules. You will also find a reminder on rights of way (rules of the road).

HKA Guide, Water Conditions and Maps

We have distilled much of the essential information about the club and kitesurfing at Hayling Island into a 2 page guide. Download it here, print it out and take it with you to the beach for a reminder and reference.

There is also a summary of the riding conditions for differing wind directions and tides. Essential reading!
